Wood Stove Fitters have been chimney sweeping and servicing existing client's chimneys & wood burners for over 8 years. With years prior experience before the company formation. The service offered is a highly effective brush & vacuum, also power sweeping. A selection rods and brushes or whips heads are chosen to suit the fireplace or wood burner being swept. Dust sheets are used to protect the flooring and nearby by furnishings. Your fireplace or wood burner is sheeted up to stop soot escaping whilst sweeping. After sweeping a smoke pellet is lit to check safe evacuation of flue combustion gases & a certificate of sweeping is issued. This is likely to be required to comply with your home insurance. Any issues found shall be pointed out and recorded on the certificate. Advice is given if required. Topics vary from the correct way to use your stove to the suitable location of fuel storage.
All prices are subject to change depending on the scope of work. These prices are for sweeping only. Replacement of fire bricks, glass, rope shall be supplied and fitted at extra cost to the client. However this work doesn’t take long and can often be done within the time frame of doing a sweep or additionally at a competitive cost!
Why should I have my chimney cleaned?
Products of combustion require a free passage from the chimney. Birds nests soot/ creosote and blockages are mitigated by regular maintenance. Preventing a potential carbon monoxide build up. Chimney fires are prevented when flammable materials are removed from the flue. The efficiency of an appliances can be increased too. Soot removal from flexible flue liners is just as important as standard masonry chimneys too. Gas and oil appliances need to be maintained as the flues can get bunged up with pet hair and fluff.

Chimneys and flue liners can deteriorate with wear and tear over time. A camera inspection can check the integrity of the flue & provide reassurance that it is in working order or locate any faults.
Stand alone call out charge - If the chimney is unsafe to be used or
or acess to the chimney can't be gained £15.00
